Using GoogleScholar to find top ranked hospitality and tourism academic journals

Accessing the GoogleScholar metrics

Google Scholar Metrics offers a curated list of top-ranked academic journals based on citation metrics, assisting authors in identifying prestigious venues for publishing their research.

To access the Metrics, go to Google Scholar and open the menu on the top left side:

 Click on Metrics:

 

Searching the top ranked academic journals on a subject

Once on GoogleScholar Metrics, click on the Search icon on the top right corner:

 

Enter the topic you are interested in. Here for example “Hospitality and tourism“:

 

The top ranked academic journal on hospitality and tourism will be displayed, with their h-index and h5-median. More information about these metrics can be found here: https://scholar.google.ch/intl/en/scholar/metrics.html#metrics

Searching the ranking of a specific journal title

Once on GoogleScholar Metrics, click on the Search icon on the top right corner:

 

 

Type the journal title you are interested in. Here for example “Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management“:
