What happens if I submit a fake ChatGPT generated reference list?
Your faculty will notice immediately that your reference list is fake. At the very least, you may get a low grade for your assessed work. You may also face an Academic Misconduct panel and possible sanctions for a breach of Academic Integrity.
What should I do to create quality work for an assessment?
If you create in the following way, you will produce work you can be proud of:
- Use library databases (or other faculty recommended sources) to access reliable valid information.
- Evaluate your sources to select the best material for your purposes.
- Develop your critical thinking skills – Do not just accept what you read, try to identify weaknesses, contrasting viewpoints.
- Build your argument, support your arguments with the information from the sources.
- Summarize, paraphrase thoroughly your source material and credit it ethically and correctly using APA7 style in-text citations and end of text reference list. Use Zotero or Zoterobib to create your in-text citations and end of text reference list.
